Location

The hotel is situated on the Valle Gran Rey coast on the island of La Gomera, in the Valle Gran Rey Rural Park and close to Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Hotel Gran Rey is ideally situated on the seafront, just 30 metres across from the beach. Restaurants, bars, shops, various beaches and Valle Gran Rey harbour are all just a short walk away. The port of San Sebastián is 50 km away.

The island has its own airport in Alajeró, although it is used for inter-island flights only.

Ferry is the most common form of travel to La Gomera. Several ferry companies offer various daily sailings from San Sebastián de La Gomera and Valle Gran Rey to the southern Tenerife port of Los Cristianos. There are also sailings to the islands of La Palma and El Hierro.

The island’s road network connects all its towns. A scheduled bus service operates between San Sebastián and all towns, although travel by bus between the different towns can be complicated.
